#1: Your Logo

Please save and send your logo as follows:

  • If your logo was created using Adobe Illustrator (AI) or Photoshop (PSD), you can send either of those files, and we can re-size your logo to meet our needs (Adobe Illustrator preferred)

  • Alternatively, if you don’t have access to those files, the please send your logo as a PNG file, with no background, preferably at least 1,000 pixels wide (2,000 pixels wide preferred)

#2: Your B-Roll Footage

Your video consists of 2 parts: A-Roll, which is the “talking” part of your video, where we see you on-camera delivering your content. And B-Roll, which is any other footage that we can use in your video that visually represents the story of your brand, and brings to life the words that you are saying.

When it comes to B-Roll, ideally it’s best to capture and use video footage. This can be footage that you have from previous videos, events, speaking engagements, or other media appearances, OR it can be footage that you are able to capture now, specifically for this video. When acquiring video footage is impossible, we can also use still images that you provide from past events, or stock footage that we will find for you, as appropriate.

If we haven’t already sent it to you, we will be providing you with a list of B-Roll shots that we would love to have you capture or find, based on the script of the specific video that we’re working on with you, and further instructions on how best to capture that footage.

Once you’ve recorded all of your B-Roll footage, please upload it to a Dropbox or Google Drive folder, and share with Steve@GeffnerProductions.com

#3: Your Fonts

If your logo contains your company name and/or tagline, please let us know the names of the fonts used. This will allow us to create other graphics for you that match the feel of your existing design elements.

If the fonts used are custom made for you, or not standard fonts that are readily available, then please send the font files to us, so we have the ability to download them, and use them in your videos or graphics.

#4: Your Website URL

Please confirm the website URL that you want on screen at the end of your finished video.

  • Since your video will be used/seen in a lot of different places online, this should more than likely be whatever your main website URL is.

  • FYI, we will need to take a look at your website(s) in order to create custom graphics for your videos based on your brand colors & design. So in the case that your website is still being built, but is not LIVE to the public yet, please send us access to the back end of your site, so that we can see what it looks like, and design graphics for your videos that are in alignment with the look and feel of your new site.

#5: Your Branding Style Guide or Any Other Relevant Artwork or Graphics

If you have a Branding Style Guide that has been created for you (with details about your logo, fonts, colors, etc.), please send that to us.

If there is any other artwork or graphics that have been created for your brand (besides your logo), then we’ll need access to those as well, so we can add them to your video and/or create custom graphics for your video based on the colors and design of the graphics that have already been created for you.

You are welcome to connect us directly with your website designer, graphic designer, or anyone else who is taking care of this for you, and we will request the elements we need directly from them.

#6: Your YouTube, Vimeo, or Wistia Channel Login Info

If we will be uploading your finished video to a video hosting platform for you, then we will need access to the backend of your YouTube, Vimeo, or Wistia channel in order to upload your video there for you, so that you can start to share it via email, embed it on your website(s), put it in your email signature, etc.

To do this step for you, we need your YouTube, Vimeo, or Wistia channel login information, which is:

  • The login email address associated with the channel

  • The password associated with that login on that specific platform

If you don’t have a YouTube channel yet, and you don’t know how to set one up, please check out this tutorial video which walks you step-by-step through the process of setting up a brand new YouTube channel.

Alternatively, if you don’t want us to upload your videos to a video hosting platform for you, either because you don’t want to share your login info, or because someone else on your team has that part covered, we are happy to simply share the files with you via Dropbox, and you can download them and then upload them wherever you want, on your own.
