Do not wait to put out new offers!
If you are wondering what to do, now that we have this shelter-in-place order, “should I put out offers, should I not,” here’s our simple advice on this: Do not wait on your offers, period! This is not the time to be a deer caught in the headlights, to be scared, to put the covers over your head and hide. This is the time to really step out, and people need you now more than they ever have.
Now is the time to help people
If you have something valuable and amazing to offer, to share with your audience, now is the time to get that in place, and to definitely be letting people know. When you put out offers, you’re sharing what you have to help people. So, you have share what you have that can help people, even more in this time of need. Do not wait any longer.
We don’t know how long this is going to last
We also don’t know when things are going to go back to normal, or if they’re ever going to go back to the way they were before. So, if you’re sitting around and waiting, or not thinking about new ways that you can be marketing your products and services to serve the problems and challenges that people are experiencing right now, and waiting around for things to go back to the way they were, you’re going to be stuck waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting. That’s no good for your business, and it’s no good for the people that you could be helping and serving right now with your products and services. So don’t wait for things to go back to normal, or back to the way things were, because we don’t know how long it’s going to be, or if it’s going to ever happen at all.
We’re creating a “new normal”
Our belief is that we are creating a new normal right now. It’s going to be different moving forward, because as people start to experience working from home, or offices being closed, and all the employees have to stay at home and be virtual, things are just going to change. People are going to get used to a new way of doing things. Some of them are going to realize, “I like this new way better.” And some businesses are even going to change what they do, because there’s just a different need at this time.
Focus on what people need the most from you
We don’t want you to get overwhelmed or freaked out by that, because yes, there is a chance you might need to create something new. But you really just need to focus on what people need from you right now. It could be that you have the same offers, but you just reposition them, or you just repackage them. Or it could be that you just have to adjust your messaging a little bit, based on the current need, and the fact that your offers are not exactly the same as you were offering before. You need to be more sensitive at this time as to what people are going through. But it could be the same offer repositioned, repackaged or re-messaged in just a slightly different way.
How are you changing your offers?
Alright, we would love to know your thoughts. Are you changing what you’re offering, or how you’re talking about the way that you’re offering things? Or are you just waiting for this thing to end, and covering your head, and putting your head in the sand, and expecting it’s going to go away at some point in the future? Don’t do that, because the businesses that are really going to survive and thrive past this are the ones that have been communicating with people, and letting them know that they’re there for them in their greatest time of need. So definitely, like we said, move forward powerfully in this time. May the force be with you. And in the meantime, stay well, stay safe, stay connected, and stay inspired to step into your entrepreneurial greatness with video.
