The question most people ask
A lot of times, whether you’re trying to grow your business, or you’re trying to figure out how to navigate through a tough time like we’re experiencing now, a lot of business owners will think, “what can I create to actually make more money to keep me afloat during these challenging economic times? What can I create to bring in more customers, bring in more money, bring in more revenue?” That’s where a lot of people start.
And we get it, you need money, right? You need to pay your bills, you need to meet payroll, you have people depending on you. It’s not a bad question to ask. It’s a very valid question to ask as a business owner. However, we’re suggesting a slight shift.
The question you should be asking
Instead of thinking about “How can I make more money,” we want you to ask: “How can I help and serve more people? What do I have that other people need? How can I bring something to people right now that is going to really help and serve their most basic needs at this time?”
And the really cool thing that’s going to happen is when you start from that place about what you can create that people need, or who can you help and serve, whether it’s in a time of need, or just in general, then those other things like making more money will happen.
Because when you start to create more and more things that people actually want and need and are demanding, it’s going to lead to more revenue for your business. It’s going to lead to happier clients. Your employees are going to feel more content working with you because they’re part of this bigger mission now, not just how can we bring in more clients? It’s got a ripple effect that really impacts your business in a massive massive way.
Are you helping peoiple get what they want?
Motivational speaker Zig Ziglar said: “You can have anything you want in life, if you help enough people get what they want.” Think about that for a second! It is all about helping and serving people. If you help and serve people, they will pay you for your product and services. So just switch your mindset ever so slightly, to a place of coming from service, and we promise you, you will see amazing results if you can do that.
So what are you going to do now?
So, what changes are you prepared to make in your mindset, and in your business, to help your business to help and serve more people, and continue to grow even in times of crisis? We’d love to hear about it.
