AM I READY?
Some of our clients wonder ahead of time if they are ready to film a Brand Story Video, because they aren’t completely sure what they want to say in their video. That’s a totally fine position to be in at the time we start. By taking the time to fill out our Getting Started Questionnaire (more info below), and then going through our Brand Story Messaging for Video process, you will be getting more and more clear about your messaging and your branding. And while going through the process with us, it will all come together in a very organic way. In any case, you don’t need to “figure out” what you want to say in your Brand Story Video. All you need to do is focus on answering the questions we ask of you. Then, it is our job in the filming process to draw the information out of you, and it is our responsibility in the editing process to put it all together for you in a way that is succinct, powerful, and makes sense for the viewer, so that they can connect emotionally with the material.
THE BRAND STORY MESSAGING FOR VIDEO: GETTING STARTED QUESTIONNAIRE:
The first step in the messaging and content creation process is to have you fill out a Getting Started Questionnaire that gives us detailed information about your business, your offers, your clients, your online presence, and your current marketing strategy.
Then, once we receive your completed questionnaire, we can begin the Brand Story Messaging for Video interview process, during which we set aside plenty of time to get to know you and your business, including who you are, what you do, why you do the work you do, what you offer, who you help, and what makes you different from other similar product or service providers out there. This really helps us to get a great sense of not only who you are and what you do, but also the image and message you’re trying to portray to the world. This is a wonderful step in the process of working together on a Brand Story Video project because it is in this discovery process of learning so much more about you, that we are really able to help visualize your brand, so we can bring it to life on video.
Finally, after gathering and reviewing all of the Brand Story Messaging for Video information, and having a chance to digest it, we create customized interview questions that we will ask you on-camera, on our day of filming. After we are finished creating that list of questions, we will send it to you via email, so that you will have plenty of time to review it and prepare yourself for your upcoming shoot.

And if we ask you to repeat an answer during your on-camera interview, it is because we know what we need in order to make a great video for you. Everything we do is out of love for you, and with the goal of wanting to deliver a video to you that will work for years to come. We truly only have your best interests at heart. We can be tough to please at times, and we’re not going to let you get away with giving us anything less than your best. And we can confidently assure you that our intentions are to help and serve you to the best of our ability.
