Today, we’re addressing one of the most common concerns entrepreneurs have which is: I know I want to do online video for my business, but I’m not ready for video yet!
How To Know If You’re REALLY Not Ready
Below are the top 3 things that you need to have in place in order to get started with video. Follow along so you can see where you currently stand in the process.
Alright, first let’s get clear on if you really are not ready for video, or if you just think that you’re not.
So for example, you’re NOT currently ready for video if:
1. You don’t have a company name.
2. You don’t have a clear concept about what your company does.
3. You don’t have any products or services to offer yet (meaning you have no way to monetize your business).
If you don’t have these 3 items in place (or at least in progress) then you’re right, you’re probably not ready for video yet. Our best advice is to get these things taken care of first. Then you can revisit the idea of starting to use video to grow your business.
However, if you do already have these 3 things in place, then you are absolutely ready to get started with video. But keep in mind that there is way more to the entrepreneurial puzzle than just these first 3 pieces.
But Wait…There’s More!
You should know that when we say you’re ready to start, it doesn’t mean that you’re ready to finish. You might not even be ready to film your videos tomorrow, or next week, or even next month. What it does mean is that you have all the pieces in place to get started.
And as you already know if you’ve been watching our videos, online video is definitely a process. For most people, it takes time to get ready and make a plan. You want your videos to be effective at getting you what you want. That being, of course, more clients, more regular traffic and ultimately more money for your business.
